A leading technology company is seeking a talented and experienced Product Security Engineer. The successful candidate will work within the Product Security team for the end-to-end security of the company’s software products. The ideal candidate has prior experience working closely with software engineering and product teams to achieve product and security business objectives. Product Security Engineer Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $70/hr
- Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
- 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment
Product Security Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of secure development practices, threat modeling, architecture, design, vulnerability assessments, and security verification, as well as defining the security standards for a variety of products and tools.
- Provide security guidance on all new products and technologies within the organization.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to perform regular product security assessments and threat modeling.
- Manage the operation and effectiveness of the product security pipeline tools.
- Update product security tooling to reduce false positives.
- Respond to vulnerabilities disclosed through threat detection systems.
- Maintain internal documentation and security standards to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Design and implement tools to automate and scale security processes.
- Provide security support and leadership to the product engineering team.
Product Security Engineer Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Product Security Engineer experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent and relevant experience.
- Experience configuring and using static and dynamic application security testing tools.
- Experience working closely with software engineering and product teams to achieve product and security business objectives.
- Oversees the creation of project documentation including qualification plans, issue lists.
- Knowledge of secure software design and development techniques.
- Maintains current knowledge of technologies, evaluates and researches technologies to determine best solutions, placement, testing methodologies and implementation.
- Strong exposure to popular application security standards including OWASP TOP 10, SANS TOP 25.
- CISSP, CSSLP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or other security certifications are preferred.
