We are the incubation arm of Walmart. Store N o 8 was formed in 2017 as part of Walmart’s larger innovation mission to shape the future of commerce. We pursue big ideas and take risks by stepping outside of Walmart’s core business to focus on leapfrog capabilities across conversational commerce, mixed reality, in-store digitization, and more. Our ultimate goal: fuel Walmart’s core business, create new operational efficiencies, and unlock amazing experiences for our customers in the long-term. This team within Store N°8 is designing immersive experiences for our customers, developing the role of retail mixed reality worlds.

About the Role

As a Product Specialist II at a Store N o 8 portfolio company, you’ll leverage your natural curiosity and inventive problem-solving talents to anticipate the needs of our customers before they walk in the door. You’ll be pioneering technologies that reinvent the customer and associate experience, new ways of working, and new ways of shopping. Working with a cross-functional team consisting of Product, Business Strategy, Tech, UX, Engineering, and Data Scientists you will solve complex problems at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Product Development Roadmap: Provides input into the product development roadmap by gathering data and understanding key objectives for a sub-category. Suggests additional product feature opportunities based on product and sub-category knowledge; interaction with category specialists and related team members; interaction with customers and/or customer behavior.
  • Product Development Lifecycle: Supports key stages of the product development lifecycle in a sub-category by completing assigned development activities (i.e., product scope and timeline) in the product development roadmap. Identifies and elevates issues to Product Manager that may affect product timelines for the sub-category.
  • Research and Analysis: Performs product research on product market fit and competitive landscape within a sub-category. Gathers relevant data and performs analysis for products in a sub-category to measure impact of existing features, detect anomalies and identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Collaboration: Interacts with category and marketing teams to gather information, data and requirements. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and suggestions to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by identifying and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications or a related field and 1 years’ experience in product management, or related field.

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$140,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
