Avionics Product Support Engineer

Contract Position

$53.35-$66.82/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to support product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, sustainability, reliability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle.
  • Develop product definition, design and configuration.
  • Define, evaluate and maintain engineering supportability, operability and maintainability requirements for products, systems and programs.
  • Analyze data to produce support, flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements.
  • Evaluate engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposes program changes and manages implementation of changes.
  • Plan, research, develop, analyze, and design modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements.
  • Establish planning and design criteria to develop integrated support and maintenance infrastructure.
  • Support continued airworthiness.
  • Provide engineering and on-site technical assistance to customer’s products including, ground support equipment, training devices, training facilities, operations facilities and maintenance facilities.
  • Coordinate and support proposal development.
  • Perform contractor logistics support (CLS) to ensure sustainment capability of C-17 Aircrew Training Devices (ATD); researches and provides technical information used to develop and maintain the C-17 ATDs and engineering data.
  • Establish systems support requirements, approaches and solutions; develops and documents processes.
  • Provide logistics support to influence product designs; determines and develops supportability-related design approaches and solutions.
  • Support the data collection and analysis needs to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Propose, evaluate, validate and implement engineering changes.
  • Provide software engineering support for the development of ATS Training System Change Requests (TSCR).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree combined with 5 + years of experience in an Engineering classification
    • or a Master’s Degree combined with 3 + years of experience in an Engineering classification;
    • or PhD Degree with experience in an Engineering classification
  • Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
  • Write code
  • fFx errors
  • Troubleshoot
  • Have 2 years Aerospace exp
