GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.
The Production and Design Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to the Operations Team in the day-to-day operations of our facility, safety, quality, and warehouse functions. They will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Operations on these daily tasks, as well as on strategic initiatives for the company. They’ll also work to take on new responsibilities after initial 6 months on the job as part of a growth plan toward the Director of Operations position in 2-4 years.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate all facility functions for the company, including support of the company’s remote sales office facilities, corporate facility, and warehouse service facilities.
• Work to modernize and develop a customer-centric Operations area for showing customers.
• Manage all safety, OSHA, and quality functions as well as assist Accounting in processing billings, contracts, and other support requirements for various facilities.
• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
• Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency.
• Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices by working and providing leadership to Assigned Department Managers.
• Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant.
• Works with Director of Operations and direct Manage Team on budgets and forecasts.
• Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
• Help recruit, train, and supervise staff.
• Find ways to increase quality of customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Technical background in Facilities, Warehouse, Safety, and Quality functions recommended. Manufacturing experience in electronic assembly operations a plus.
• Manufacturing experience in electronic assembly a plus.
• Degree in Business, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP and CRM functions a plus.
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
• Good leadership ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exhibits familiarity with MS office products.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
This position will eventually lead to supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
