Description
Title: Temp Production Associate
Location: Valparaiso, IN
Shift: 6pm- 6am, Overnight 12 hour shift
Pay: $16/hour
Overview: Under the direct supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Packer/Laborer is responsible for monitoring and operating manual and highly automated production equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Working safely, following all plant rules, reporting all near misses and unsafe conditions to
- Keeping work areas clean and
- Monitoring equipment condition and communicating any deficiencies to
- Packing 25 kg (55 ) bags (up to 600 in a 12-hour period)
- Packing 250-600 k bags (550-1320 lbs.) bags
- Assisting with ancillary processes (such as presses, re-feeding, )
- Cleaning out equipment during product changes or when
- Assist Supervisors and Console Operators as needed
- Taking samples of product throughout the whole process, and maintaining sample identification
- Ensuring product traceability throughout process
- Accurately filling out necessary paperwork to record process information
- Completes any and all other duties, as required or
- Frequent lifting (34-66% of the day)
- Constant standing (66-100% of the day)
- Frequent stair climbing (3 flights, approximately 12 times per day)
- Frequent overhead reaching (34-66% of the day)
- Constant use of upper extremities, e. hands and arms (67-100% of the day)
- Ability to safely operate forklifts
- Ability to negotiate on grated floors up to three stories high

- High School diploma or GED
- Mechanical ability is helpful
