We are seeking an experienced self-driven software engineer who is comfortable being part of a small skunk works team responsible for building, designing, and end-to-end ownership of a scalable software product tasked to deliver intelligent data driven products.
The Professional Big Data Software Engineer is a part of the iQ Insights platform and analytics team within the Chief Data Office (CDO). The Big Data Software Engineer will gather information from mobile devices, network, business, and other data collections to produce analytic aggregations and business intelligence to boost AT&T network experience. As a Professional Big Data Software Engineer, you will:
- Write Databricks notebooks to produce device and network diagnostic data to improve network performance and user experience.
- Perform agile development and practice to build high quality software.
- Study machine learning models to build self-service prototype for iQ ecosystem.
- Receive raw data, clean it up and build solid facts, use further analytics for recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Scientific Computing preferred or equivalent experience
- Requires 3-5 years of related experience
- Java experience required
- Scala, Spark and SQL preferred
- Telecommunications technology preferred
- Knowledge of CICD process such as unit test, code management, package build, deployment etc.
- Machine learning and AI
- Ability to work independently to turn a business idea into a machine learning model
Our Professional Big Data Software Engineer employees earn between $116,700 – $175,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
