Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption. This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.
Position Summary
Provide consultative knowledge and insight to our customers by performing operational assessments in sterile processing, surgical support areas, and endoscopy, helping our customers understand process improvement opportunities and selling in services where applicable. Provide subject matter expertise and sales support to our sales staff, educating internally and externally on our products and services. Participate in contract negotiations and proposals to ensure STERIS is able to meet customer needs, by providing high quality tools and resources. This role will include frequent, nationwide, overnight travel.

Duties
1. Provides sterile processing and healthcare related consulting services to Customers. This includes, but is not limited to, performing operational and strategic assessments; workflow assessments; facility layout and design; Customer management assessments; training programs; process improvement; and developing tools to assist Customers in improving operational performance.
2. Participates in Customer negotiations, managing Customer communications and engagements, and developing strategies to support future business growth.
3. Provides Customer with comprehensive, professional quality, consulting reports and able to present and articulate findings and recommended course of action.
4. Provides assistance to internal STERIS sales and service representatives by providing consulting services as needed to assist in securing business opportunities.
5. Works with all STERIS departments to generate avenues to promote STERIS products, services and solutions. Provides feedback and market intelligence on Customer issues, requirements, and business opportunities.
6. Provides expert training and mentoring of other STERIS employees on sterile processing operations, capacity planning, lean operations, workflow management and department right-sizing using specified tools, Professional Services consulting capabilities, and solution selling. Provide site walk-through assessments in support of STERIS sales and training opportunities.
7. Participates in industry trade show activities and sales training programs as needed. Attend Central Service / Operating Room local and professional organization educational programs. Stay informed of consulting news, new products, services, and other general information of interest to Customer.
8. Participates in the ongoing growth and development of the STERIS Professional Services Group business.
9. Acts as primary Customer advocate for STERIS Professional Services Group issues with emphasis on timely resolution of those issues. Manages Customer relations by defining and developing parameters of Customer satisfaction and executing objectives as directed by management.
10. Provides management with all requested and required information including preparation of reports, expense budgets, forecasts, projects, and any supporting justification.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Education Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Healthcare or combination of education and experience, Master’s degree preferred.
2. Must have 5 years of experience working with Customers in the healthcare sector with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8 years with a high school diploma or GED. 5 years clinical experience in sterile processing or operating room environment preferred. Consulting and marketing experience beneficial.
3. Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing and process improvement experience. Must possess demonstrated problem-solving skills, excellent oral, written, communication, and formal presentation skills.
4. Must have a minimum of 3 years in a Sterile Processing leadership or consulting position.
Pay range for this opportunity is $77,800.00 – $104,727.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
