Prog Mgr, Field Prog & Ops, Sales Strategy & Operations

The AWS Training & Certification (T&C) team is looking for an experienced candidate to design, develop, and implement field/sales programs and tools that simplify and accelerate the acquisition of AWS cloud skills by our customers.

In the T&C Field Program & Operations team, you will define sales program requirements and outcomes by working closely with AWS field sales teams, partners, and customers to identify the barriers and challenges to obtaining AWS cloud skills. You will define program features, test program concepts, quickly prototype tools, and establish success metrics.

The ideal candidate has a strategic business background, deep understanding of the sales function, and technical fluency. You should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business challenges, establish relationships with both technical and non-technical field sales teams, and build analytical or financial models. You thrive on constantly improving the customer experience.

Key job responsibilities

Engage customers, partners, and field sales teams to understand the barrier to AWS skills acquisition.

Design and develop programs and/or tools/mechanisms that balance time-to-market, investment, and customer outcomes.

Define program release schedules and feature roadmap.

Test/prototype and iterate on new program/tool/mechanism features.

Create program metrics, reports, dashboards.

Support program implementation.

Create program sales assets, collateral, training, and documentation.

A day in the life

This role’s primary focus is working with customers, business analysts, business intelligence engineers, and data engineers across the world to deliver business insights, reports, and data. These insights will be used to make better business decisions. This is a customer facing role where the BIE will meet with customers to understand their data needs and works backwards to develop new data capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of experience in sales programs or tools within the software, technology, or training industry

3+ years of experience working directly with sales teams focused on enterprise customers

Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with effectively communicating across organizations, geographies, and cultures

Experience working within the enterprise software and/or education industry is highly desired

Ability to use scripting or data science tools to analyze and manipulate data

Familiarity with market research concepts, and the ability to use survey tools to collect and analyze market/customer data

MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
