This position acts as the “hub” of communication for the Bureau of Senior Programs and is essential in keeping the bureau on task. This person is the face and voice of the bureau as the lead for Information and Assistance in working with the Area Agencies on Aging, contractors, and the general public.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the Information and Assistance program for the bureau, and be responsible for overseeing the program for the Area Agencies on Aging.
- Requesting supporting documentation from the various contractors on behalf of the team and compiling data into reports.
- Oversee the accurate and timely preparation, review, posting, and processing of a variety of fiscal, payroll, personnel, purchasing, and/or budget related documents and accurately preparing complex ad hoc reports, spreadsheets, and/or databases using Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet and data management software.
- Researching issues as requested by other Bureau staff and preparing ad hoc reports, which may include the preparation of spreadsheets or use of Access and other data management software.
- Track bureau progress on monitoring of the 10 Area Agencies on Aging to ensure that all steps in the monitoring process occur in a timely manner.
- Set up meetings, conferences, travel arrangements, and other duties as assigned to assist the bureau staff.
All you need for success:
Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in public health, mental health, environmental health, education, social services, public or business administration, health care, and/or health care administration; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. OR
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- (A combination of education from an accredited college or university and experience described may substitute for the stated qualifications.)
