Program Coordinator, Executive Education

Position Summary

The Daniels Executive Education department seeks a Program Coordinator to join our dynamic and entrepreneurial team. Daniels Executive Education provides continual professional growth opportunities through our intensive and ‘quick-hit’ programs and courses centered around leadership development and business acumen. As the Program Coordinator, your main duty will be to support program preparation and execution ensuring an impactful educational experience for individuals and organizations. Reporting to the Director of Program Success, this role requires a ‘no job is too big nor too small’ attitude and a natural ability to streamline workflows. You will liaise and support Program Managers, Faculty, and customers-giving you deep insight into (and experience in) educational program creation, development, and execution. Essential Functions

Overall Job Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning: Supporting the operational, logistical, and administrative aspects of educational events and programs
  • Organization and Efficiency: Determining and instituting time-saving measures that streamline workflows and processes
  • Project Management: Lending skills to additional auxiliary Executive Education projects
  • Strategic Objectives: Supporting strategic business objectives around cost and quality management
  • Collaborative Team Member: Playing a key team member role by contributing ideas, encouraging others, and supporting team decisions

Program and Course Coordination

  • Working with the Executive Education team to prepare and produce impactful educational programs and courses
  • Supporting Program Managers and Faculty in the preparation of program content and agendas
  • Handling logistic support such as securing facilities, catering, parking, etc.
  • Managing program collateral such as name tents, handouts, signage, assessments, etc.
  • Assisting with course creation in the learning management system

Program and Course Management

  • Providing program support for online courses and small-scale in-person programs
  • Assisting Program Managers during program delivery both on and off campus as necessary
  • Maintaining exceptional client and vendor relationships

Operational Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining resources that aid in program production, including documenting standard operating procedures
  • Collaborating with the Program Team on expanding and enhancing program activities and logistics-including establishing new supplier and vendor relationships
  • Owning operational enhancements that increase efficiency by streamlining workflows and finding new ways to keep supplies/inventory organized
  • Maintaining an organized workroom and ensuring adequate levels of program materials

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support for general office activities such as ordering supplies, updating the Executive Education calendar, and coordinating with other departments
  • Monitoring the Executive Education email inbox
  • Assisting in scheduling and hosting meetings for department visitors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A natural event planner-understanding the importance of details, service, and being extremely organized
  • Energized by identifying opportunities to drive efficiency, working to optimize processes or create them when they don’t exist
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to manage and complete projects with minimal direction
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A desire to work in a small entrepreneurial team environment
  • Professional ambitions to grow experience in event planning and educational programming
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, inclusion, and equity through experience and education and the ability to describe the values associated with these principles
  • Creative eye-experience with Canva a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of event management and/or office support experience
  • Project management experience-Wrike is a plus
  • Design experience-Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva a plus
  • Proven track record of driving initiatives that improve efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in educational programming
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Experience with Salesforce

Working Environment

1. Standard office environment.
2. Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
3. Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

1. Ability to sit in front of a computer for an extended period of time.
2. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. nights and weekends as necessary.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 7.

Hourly Range:
The hourly range for the position is $23.00 – $26.60 which based on the full-time schedule of 37.5 hours equates to a salary of $45,022-$52,069.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
