Program Manager, Acquisitions & Strategic Projects

New Charter Technologies is seeking a Program Manager of Acquisitions & Strategic Projects who will work closely with Senior Leadership, acquisition targets, and Oval Partners (New Charter Technologies’ private equity partner) to facilitate the building and management of business-critical processes, to include leading the acquisition due diligence process from the New Charter Technologies’ side as well as the new company onboarding process once acquisitions are completed.

In addition, the Program Manager will be responsible for executive level coordination of key business projects and initiatives on an ongoing basis. This will include building systems and processes, leading special projects, and providing coordination and follow-up support. The Program Manager, at their most effective, will be a force-multiplier for New Charter Senior Staff; allowing the team to be more effective while optimizing workflows and evoking innovation across the company.

In this role, you will Lead Acquisition Onboarding by:

  • Driving and managing workstreams starting at the signing of an LOI through the closing of a new acquisition, and beyond through the onboarding process.
  • Refining diligence checklist items, capture information, and controlling diligence requests through prioritization.
  • Scheduling all necessary meetings throughout diligence and onboarding to ensure effective, consistent communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Tracking progress on all diligence streams and be able to provide updates at any given time.
  • Holding weekly update meetings to ensure New Charter leaders are in the know on all critical tasks, are updated on how the Partner teams are progressing, as well as to bring to light potential risks/opportunities to drive quick decision-making.
  • Working with New Charter Senior Staff and other members of the Leadership Team to define onboarding objectives and document the various processes required to align to the intended outcome.
  • Creating project plans, timelines, and supporting materials for the new acquisition onboarding process.
  • Project management of the post-closing onboarding processes across functions, acting as a concierge to ensure a smooth onboarding for new equity partners.
  • Managing new company onboarding workstreams and act as the liaison between New Charter’s Corporate and Partner teams and initiatives.
  • Developing relationships with the leadership at newly acquired companies to ensure they are informed and to set proper expectations for onboarding timeframes and next steps.

In this role, you will also Lead Strategy and Operations:

  • Through partnership with Senior Staff and Functional Leadership support the definition, development, and deployment of scalable solutions to achieve consistent, measurable, repeatable processes within New Charter.
  • Supporting Senior Staff with scorecard development, performance tracking of deliverables/KPIs, and instilling a high level of utilization of internal corporate tool sets.
  • Building action plans and project manage key projects led by Senior Staff members while finding opportunities to improve effectiveness and provide strategic leverage within New Charter.
  • Facilitating, coordinating and participating in Senior Staff and Corporate meetings (virtual and live) to include agenda building, meeting participation, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Regularly assessing progress on priority focus areas, re-prioritize initiatives as needed, as well as plan, monitor and reassess the key metrics that matter as the business model evolves.
  • Ensuring Senior Staff is leading the way in terms of Company adoption and utilization of technology to drive efficiency, communications, and efficiency.

You have:

  • 5+ years’ project management (or related) experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions a plus.
  • Experience in a rapidly scaling or private equity backed business a plus.
  • Strong background in using Microsoft tools to create and streamline business process.
  • Experienced in using/driving collaborative use of Teams, SharePoint, Planner, and OneDrive.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully managing small, medium, and large projects.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully managing multiple projects of varying timelines at one time.
  • Experience defining, documenting, automating, and streamlining processes.

Compensation for the Program Manager (in some other companies this role may be called a Project Manager) is expected to start at $85,000 – $95,000 depending on experience and expertise levels. Candidates with the ability to work hybrid/remote in Denver, CO are strongly preferred, however remote candidates will aslo be considered.
