Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor – High-Fidelity Wraparound and FFT

The Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor of VOA MN’s High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT) programs is responsible for the program’s direction and for the provision of clinical supervision and oversight of its care coordinators and family peer support specialists. Training in either evidence-based model is not required and training in HFW will be provided. A desire to support families with complex mental health and social needs is necessary.

Shift Details:Full-time – 40 hours/week. Offers flexible scheduling, partial telecommuting options available and in-state travel required.

Compensation: $68,000-$74,000, based on experience

Location:This position is in our New Hope office and serves youth and their families in the Twin Cities area, primarily in Hennepin County. Vona is located at 9220 Bass Lake Rd, Suite 255, New Hope, MN 55428.

About the program:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Providers
    • Supervise the provision of work in a community setting for youth and families. Provide supervision in the community setting when needed.
    • Provide supervision, support and guidance to the Functional Family Therapists, Wraparound Care Coordinators, and Certified Family Peer Specialists in building on their ability to promote stability and self-sufficiency of the youth and families with which they work while maintaining fidelity to the FFT or Wraparound model.
    • Conduct regular meetings with program staff, hold weekly supervision sessions with each Wraparound Care Coordinator, observe each program staff in the field once a month, review and approve documents in youth’s files, and participate in coaching sessions with an assigned coach.
    • Some regularly scheduled onsite/ in-person attendance expected.The position requires scheduling flexibility and local travel.
    • Monitor quality provision of all services, including Hennepin County contract compliance and outcome reports.
    • Engage in creative planning to help enhance program success.
    • Provide oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care using the phases and activities of Wraparound.
    • Ensure the Wraparound process is implemented with high fidelity to the model and track progress towards goals.
    • Review and approve family stories, crisis plans, plans of care, and discharge summaries.
    • Educate families, providers, and the community about the Wraparound process.
    • Work collaboratively with the FFT Clinical Supervisor employed by Canvas Health.
  • Administration
    • Contribute to and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
    • Administratively supervise providers to carry out job responsibilities.
    • Monitor and manage accountability to billing/billable units for assigned program or team.
    • Monitor assigned components of the budget for assigned program or team.
    • Implement the policies, procedures, and practices established for Volunteers of America Behavioral Health Division for the staff under your supervision and assure staff comply with VOA and regulatory agencies.
    • Maintain a work environment which respects and supports cultural responsivity, upholds the values of VOA MN and High-Fidelity Wraparound, and promotes staff engagement and healthy morale.
    • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff to achieve established program objectives including providing quality services in a work environment reflecting teamwork and mutual respect.
    • Maintain up to date personnel files for supervisees.
    • Provide performance management of supervisees including, but not limited to, their conduct, task completion, policy/procedure compliance, professional behavior, attendance, and general performance.
    • Conduct annual performance reviews of all staff, including assessment of past year’s accomplishments corresponding to objectives set in previous reviews, coming year objectives corresponding to current program goals, and professional development.
  • Program Planning
    • Assist the Associate Division Director and division leaders with program development and implementation.
    • Maintain responsibility for the completion and submission of routine reporting requirements per regulatory agency expectations.
    • Monitor quality provision of all services, including Hennepin County contract compliance and outcome reports.
    • Engage in creative planning to help enhance program success.
  • Community Relationships
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the State, the County, community providers, and other external stakeholders.
    • Educate families, providers, and the community about the Wraparound process and Functional Family Therapy, as needed.
  • Assure program participant privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work or similar focus
  • LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP (will consider someone very close to receipt of independent license)
  • 3-5 years experience within the mental health community as a mental health provider.
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, about care coordination of youth and families struggling with mental illness.
