Program Manager, Asset Retirement

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a qualified Program Manager within the Asset Retirement team to solve the complex challenges of closing down operational Delivery Stations (DS). Throughout the lifecycle of the AMZL build-plan and as sites age, AMZL seeks opportunities to retire certain assets and either launch a new DS or shift volume to other existing DSs. In this role you will drive site-specific projects and partner with stakeholder teams to create the overall closure plan for Associates, Drivers and DSPs, Leaders, and volume. You will work closely with local DS Sr Leadership to align on the plan and seek Approval from Directors and VPs.

We are looking for a Program manager with great stakeholder engagement skills to be the liaison between a multitude of stakeholders including Topology, Long Range Planning, DSP Planning, HR, Legal, Finance, local Operations Leaders, and other planning teams. This role calls for an individual who can over index on Think Big to ensure there is a strong plan with no gaps, as well as Ownership to drive accountability from stakeholders and communication with Sr Leaders. This role’s scope necessitates the ability to solve ambiguous issues and provide effective solutions to gaps between teams, processes and systems.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead multiple stakeholder teams to drive end to end asset retirement life cycle.
• Solve complex problems that pose risk to project delivery and key milestones through inquisitive deep dives with stakeholder Subject Matter Expert (SME) input.
• Experience collaborating and influencing team members, working with development teams and other business groups, and presenting projects to senior leadership on a regular basis.
• Clearly communicate road blocks, program issues and challenges to senior leaders in writing and via in-person/ remote meetings.
• Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve project/ program management efficiency.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
• Experience in partnering to build and execute new initiatives and roadmaps each year.
• Experience compiling, managing and reporting on weekly project metrics
• Experience leading meetings with senior leadership to align on project requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of program or project management experience

– 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

– Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

– Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

– 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

– Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

– Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
