Job Summary
The Program Manager, Health Equity supports and works closely with the National Medical Director, Health Equity Officer to plan and implement projects and programs for health equity promotion and health disparity reduction in the communities Molina serves. This person provides subject matter expertise in equitable strategies, community health & engagement, advocacy, health equity analytics, bias reduction, and diversity equity and inclusion practices. Instrumental in working on systemwide health equity projects that reduce disparities which improve health outcomes.
Job Duties
- Coordinating initiatives aimed at advancing and aligning the health equity strategy and tactical workplan to reduce health disparities among specified populations
- Managing the planning, design, implementation, training, evaluation, and reporting of specified health equity initiatives
- Working collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders and with external community organizations and agencies on health equity programs that include addressing identified priority disparities and improving health quality and outcomes
- Organizing meetings of key partners and stakeholders while documenting progress and holding key members accountable for work products
- Supports and conducts regular Health Equity workgroup meetings with key constituents to build relationships and share best practices and health equity tactics that improve health outcomes
- Researching evidence-based practices and nationally recognized criteria, designing, and recommending opportunities to enhance efforts through scaling best practices, technology platforms or other culturally relevant modes of communication, and insights and perspectives generated by impacted and diverse stakeholders
- Facilitating community outreach strategies and partnerships towards health equity and best practices with identifying and addressing ethnic, cultural or racial disparities in health quality and outcomes
- Acting as a point person and thought partner with internal and external health equity partners to guide adoption and development of strategies to promote health equity and identify and address health disparities
- Works to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, standardization, and health disparity reduction.
- Monitors, coordinates, and communicates the strategic objectives of health equity across the organization to optimize performance/results.
- Identifies communications strategies for dissemination of equitable outcomes research and recommendations.
- Manages community outreach and engagement programs activities and assists in the development of content and methodologies.
- Aggregates and assists with the analysis of internal and external health equity data.
- Helps build diverse partnerships and collaboration to advance the mission and work of the organization.
- Serves as liaison to CBOs and conducts outreach to additional ethnic and cultural groups and populations as needed to engage their interest in and participation with organizations programs.
- Performs other job duties and projects as directed
Job Qualifications
Required Education:
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business, Nursing, Social Work, or related field
Required Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in health equity field
- Project management experience-focus on health equity preferred
- 2-3 years Healthcare experience on provider/patient side
Required Licensure or Certification:
If licensed, license must be active, unrestricted and in good standing.
Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record and be able to drive within applicable state or locality with reliable transportation.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize information and write concise materials for multiple audiences
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to troubleshoot and oversee complex projects to completion
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including members, funders, and other staff
- Strong computer skills and experience with programs such as Microsoft Office, Teams, project management systems, and ability to learn and master new systems
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
MPH or MBA
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years working health equity field
- 3-5 years of Program and/or Project management experience
- 5 years health care experience on provider/patient side
- Experience with SalesForce
- Experience partnering with different levels of leadership across the organization.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Visio or other comparable software.
- Working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) and change management techniques
PREFERRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, ASSOCIATION:
Any of the following:
Health Equity Certification, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion certification, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification and/or comparable coursework desired
Travel Requirements:
Driving: 10%
Air Travel: 10%

Working environment is generally favorable and lighting and temperature are adequate. Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Must have the ability to sit for long periods. Pay Range: $54,922 – $107,099 annually
