Job Description

Location: This role can be based in any of our U.S. office locations (including San Francisco/Bay Area, Chicago, Omaha, New York, Washington DC, or Detroit) although San Francisco/Bay Area is preferred. The office location will be in alignment with the U.S. office closest to the location that the approved-for-hire candidate resides.

The LinkedIn Legal & Public Policy Team is made up of legal and policy professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who have set an extremely high bar for providing legal and policy solutions. As Program Manager, Litigation & Enforcement, you will provide program management support to our Litigation & Enforcement Team, with particular emphasis on support for Enforcement attorneys, including tracking and managing all enforcement matters, monitoring C&D correspondence, and organizing team timelines and tasks. You will work within a fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative team that values humor and team work.

Responsibilities:

  • Support LinkedIn’s legal enforcement efforts to investigate and stop abuse on LinkedIn’s platform, scraping, spam, copyright violations, and User Agreement / TOS (terms of service) violations.
  • Project manage the organization of documents, data, and timelines related to legal enforcement workflows in our Legal tracking software (currently LawVu).
  • Support attorneys’ work on affirmative enforcement litigation, including managing litigation docket files, collecting and organizing internal information as evidence, managing collection of information in response to discovery requests, and scheduling witness interviews.
  • Work with business partners in LinkedIn’s Trust & Safety, Customer Service, and Investigations teams to help protect the platform through legal enforcement.
  • In collaboration with attorneys, scout for abusive chrome web store extensions, manage takedown processes, and engage in follow up with developers.
  • Investigate and respond to LinkedIn Learning copyright infringement / piracy reports.
  • Manage correspondence with relationship managers / authors related to copyright infringement / piracy.
  • Manage enforcement vendor relationships, contracts, and coverage instruction.
  • Flex into defensive litigation program management to organize, manage, and maintain our global Litigation tracking system calendar, and legal docket filings.
  • Play an active role on the Legal, Competition & Enforcement team to help us fulfill LinkedIn’s mission of connecting the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful by being an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative and FUN Legal & Public Policy Team.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related practical experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a Litigation Paralegal, Legal Project Manager, or equivalent.
  • Experience with a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn and utilize other business software (LawVu, Slack, Jira, Salesforce, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-house experience, particularly with technology companies.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple contemporaneous matters.
  • Familiarity with legal enforcement issues such as TOS (terms of service) violations.
  • You are a self-motivated and organized team player with the ability to drive projects, identify and resolve issues, and earn the confidence and cooperation of others.
  • You communicate effectively and can work both independently and collaboratively.
  • You have project management experience and give attention to detail while at the same time understanding the big picture.
  • Comfort juggling tasks from the mundane to the strategic, and an ability to work productively and deliver on deadline in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a smile and a sense of humor.
  • Excellent judgment and high integrity.

The pay range for this role is $89,000 to $145,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
