Department Overview

Electric Asset & Regulatory is responsible for the electric system engineering and planning, asset strategy, and risk management across transmission, distribution, and substation asset families. This centralized, risk-informed approach allows PG&E to manage electric risk, asset and system health, interconnections, and performance by using consistent standards, work methods, prioritization, and program sponsorship, while leveraging lessons learned from inspections and asset data to inform asset management decisions. Accountable for asset planning and strategy, standards and work methods, and asset data management for Electric.

Position Summary

This position is within the Asset Knowledge Management organization specifically the Asset Data Management and Improvement. The position will lead the new ESRI Utility Network Model (UNM) multi-year project including but not limited to the Strategy, Planning, and Implementation.

The UNM is a new powerful Geographic Information System (GIS) tool for the integration of systems which allows a company to model logical, spatial, and topological relationship of their data to effectively manage their networks including distribution of resources to customers.

We are looking for a solid program manager with excellent experience and skills in project management, communication, teamwork, management of change, change management, and related technicality who can drive the delivery of the objectives to all needed employee levels of the company and outside stakeholders.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Annual Minimum: $136,000.00

Annual Maximum: $232,000.00

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a highly visible and complex multi-million-dollar project – scope, schedule, and cost
  • Leads cross functional projects or teams. Identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
  • Develops and manages department expense budget. Regularly monitors expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and/or variances.
  • Communicates project status to all stakeholders.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues. Presents findings and makes recommendations to management.
  • Works with all levels of management and senior leadership across functions to influence decisions.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt or Blackbelt
  • American Society of Quality Certification in Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
  • GIS and/or UNM Experience
