Program Manager, Seller External Relations, Selling Partner Empowerment, Communities, & Trust

The Selling Partner Empowerment, Communities, & Trust (SPECT) organization builds lasting connections with, and helps drive the success of our Selling Partners. An important part of this charter is understanding our impact on and opportunities to improve public perception that Amazon is good for our Selling Partner’s businesses. The Seller External Relations team within SPECT is responsible for ensuring that external perception mirrors the reality that Amazon’s stores are a great place for third-party sellers to build and maintain thriving businesses.

This role will have a high degree of ownership for defining programs and scalable solutions that raise the bar on improving public perception of the selling experience on Amazon. The role is inherently cross-functional – you will work closely with Public Policy, Public Relations, engineering, design, operations, finance, and executive teams across the consumer business to design and accelerate both new and existing programs at Amazon that support and amplify the success of our Selling Partners.

The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative, and dives deep into details. They can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but also roll up their sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, ability to earn trust and influence cross-functional teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and strong analytical skills are essential. The candidate for this position also embraces ambiguity, ramps quickly on complex issues, and is skilled at communicating complex issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
