Overview Reporting to the Director of Program Management at CAES Integrated Defense Systems Division, the Program Manager V will be supporting Integrated Defense Systems business. The position is be responsible for all stages of the program life cycle with major customers, managing internal engineering and manufacturing plans, status reporting to customer for development orders and production orders, and ensuring on time completion of contract line items. Responsibilities Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance. Responsible for building and maintaining business relationships, which includes working with all levels and organizations. Manages or leads stakeholders to determine program objectives and execute on deliverables, progress, risk/issue management, scope and timing; works with cross-functional groups from Operations, Finance, Contracts, etc. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned programs. Anticipates and actively seeks opportunities to transform the business, eliminate costs through these efforts, make solution recommendations, and provide consistent feedback on improvement opportunities related to current programs process. Responsible for identifying and coordinating resource needs within multiple departments and gathers input from various team leads and SMEs to create and validate comprehensive requirements, rollout plans and test plans for their initiatives. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Establish milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtains strategic solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Develop new business or expands the product line with the customer. May be responsible for business development within current customer base. Ability to establish work policies and standards of performance, generate and improve processes, and work collaboratively on general processes. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices. Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities for own work area as well as for other areas to enhance cross-functional problems solving; utilize Company tool champions as appropriate for more significant lean events. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree Eleven (11) years of program-related work experience with customer interaction and budget, scheduling, contracts, and financial responsibilities. Five (5) years program related experience leading Space grade Radio Frequency product development programs. Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Security Clearance. Preferred: Experience leading complex projects and/or technology programs in the Aerospace and/or Defense industry. Experience as a key advisor and managing large complex program(s). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively, in a constantly changing environment. Ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas. Experience in Technology Development Programs. Experience in manufacturing technical products. Experience in RF/Microwave Products. PMP Certification. MBA or MS Degree. Experience managing program(s) that reflect moderate risk and complexity or deputy responsibility for large complex program(s). Strong leadership skills including the ability to properly motivate and influence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Active DoD SECRET clearance. Salary Range: $133,000 – $170,000 annually (San Diego). Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
