Sunrise Services, INC. is seeking a Program Support Specialist for our Geriatric Transitions Program! This is a part-time position.

About the Program:
The Program Support Specialist provides office and administrative support to the Geriatric Transitions Program (GTP) and Expanded Community Services (ECS) and is central to effective internal and external communications for the program. The program Support Specialist also provides support to the Community Placement Division Director and plays a central role in supporting administrative functions for programs across the Division.
The GTP and ECS Programs provide services across Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Island and San Juan. The GTP/ECS Team works in partnership with clients, families, hospitals, DSHS and residential providers such as adult family homes to find and successfully maintain stable community placements for adults with ‘challenging behaviors’. The Program Support Specialist provides a front line telephone response to queries relating to the program and is central to ensuring that a fast, effective and professional response is provided by the team across the region including assisting with screening referrals and tracking referrals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Programs Supervisor in the development and implementation of the program – perform tasks as required including assisting with recruitment, orientation of team members, office set up and establishment of systems and procedures as directed
- Respond to front line telephone queries and referrals relating to the program in a professional manner
- Assist in telephone support, data entry, filing, faxing, photocopying, ordering supplies, and making bookings.
- Record, track, and monitor key program deliverables as assigned
- Book, coordinate, and track required trainings and certifications for the team.
- Provide administrative support, book and coordinate team meetings, appointments, trainings and events as assigned.
- Transport / collect / deliver items in company or personal vehicle, as needed.
- Perform some Quality Assurance tasks for the program as assigned
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Prepare regular monitoring reports as required/requested
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or other appropriate field preferred, or two years of experience in human services with demonstrated skills. Any other acceptable combination of education and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.
Experience:Two years of experience in human services preferred
Other Considerations:
- DSHS background clearance required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Light lifting (approximately 10 pounds).
- Operate personal computer, and use calculator to perform simple math functions. Skill using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access software. Ability to learn and utilize scheduling and other software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization, time-management, prioritization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Creativity, flexibility, dependability, positive attitude, and sensitivity to diverse populations essential. Establish and maintain appropriate and professional working relationships with staff, supervisors, and participants.
Compensation:
- $18 – 20/hour
- Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
