Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a Project Scheduler to join our team for projects in San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties in Southern California. Our team is focused on providing construction management (CM) services for water and wastewater facility projects and pipeline projects though we also provide CM services for other types of projects.
Working within our Project and Program Managment teams, the Project Scheduler will work under a Senior Scheduler and with construction management teams to analyze construction schedules, including baseline, update, and recovery schedules, and review schedule narratives. Construction schedules will be reviewed for cost and/or resource loading when required by the construction contract. Upon receipt of contractor claims for additional time, the Project Scheduler will review the contractor’s time impact analyses and may prepare time impact analyses of separate impacts to evaluate concurrency. Some projects will require preparation of “what-if” schedules to find opportunities to recover time. The Project Scheduler will also prepare schedules in collaboration with construction management staff.
Role accountabilities:
The Project Scheduler will be required to use Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (Primavera P6 EPPM) scheduling software to prepare and analyze schedules. The work will also require the use of collaboration software such as Microsoft SharePoint and project/construction management information software, such as ProCore, CIPO, and Virtual Project Management. The Project Scheduler will be expected to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction management teams and owners.
- Read and understand plans and specifications.
- Understand construction methods and processes.
- Prepare written reports of analyzes, reviews, and findings.
- Present summaries of reports to construction management teams, owners, and contractors in person and through video conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams.
- Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Be detailed oriented.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or construction management or construction-related scheduling experience
- 5 years of related experience in construction scheduling or project control schedule experience using the latest Primavera scheduling software
- Proficiency in the use of the latest version of Primavera scheduling software
- Proficiency conducting in-depth analyses of construction schedules in compliance with construction contracts.
- Familiarity with AACE recommended practices.
- Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Proficiency in Acumen Fuse or Schedule Analyzer Enterprise is desired.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $93,000 – $170,000.
