NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range
$75,900 – $146,200
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
Organization 10412 is seeking self-motivated Project Controller(s) to join the deployed PM services team supporting the facilities portfolio for capital projects. The position(s) support projects less than $100M.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Perform detailed analysis and reporting on project status within an established system of project controls.
- Establish project baseline, work package agreements, cost estimates.
- Utilizes Earned Value Management or other management techniques to generate detailed analysis of project status related to cost, schedule and performance, prepares variance analysis and recommends corrective actions.
- Utilize scheduling tools to develop, analyze and maintain project schedules (cost and schedule).
- Provide status reports and updates to various levels of management and recommends corrective action.
- Partners with project managers, technical leads, and/or managers to make recommendations to influence key decision makers within the scope of project controls (work breakdown structure, schedule, and budget / cost).
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, plus 5 or more years’ of experience in Project Management; or Master’s degree in relevant discipline, plus 1 or more years of experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with standard project management practices including project plan development and control, scope management, project scheduling, cost estimation and management, quality assurance, resource management, communications planning and management, risk and opportunity management, and procurement management.
- Proficiency in tools and applications commonly employed in project management activities.
- Demonstrated teaming skills, including the ability to work effectively with other organizations, functions, project sponsors and customers, and suppliers.
- Experience executing project management on complex projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level Security Clearance .

- PMP certification.
- Experience leading project(s) through the PM lifecycle.
- Analyzes forecasts to identify issues before they become problems, enabling projects to react timely and develop appropriate solutions.
- Understands the scope of work sufficiently to build and status schedules in partnership with the project team, generate budget profiles, and support Estimate at Completion (EAC) development by utilizing a variety of project controls tools.
- Analyzes, compiles, and presents project specific data from a variety of sources to meet on-demand needs.
- Researches, assembles, and evaluates project information or data and recommends sound, practical solutions to project issues.
- Facilitates internal team communications and meetings.
- Incorporates resources into the schedules as required and formulate a schedule baseline.
- Experience working on projects that are subject to DOE 413.3.
