NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range
$75,900 – $146,200
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking a Project Controller to support and manage multiple component Product Realization Teams (PRTs) for the W80-4 program and other major programs.
This PC will be responsible for schedule status, collaboration, communication across technical areas and sites to help assure quantity, pedigree and NLA needs are met. A strong understanding (or ability to quickly learn) of schedule development, Primavera P6, SNL procurement knowledge, and the W80-4 program experience would be key success factors for this role.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Collaborate with the peer Project Manager(s) and Project Controllers.
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting of project status using project management tools such as Primavera P6, COBRA and CET.
- Work with the project technical leads to develop and capture current program status and forecast future work.
- Critically analyze large amounts of data to find changes, logically link to developed schedules and work with technical and programmatic partners to assure concurrence among different component teams or sites.
- Team with technical staff, project leads and managers to make recommendations to influence key decision makers within the scope of project controls (schedule, and budget/cost).
- Research, assemble, and evaluate project information or data and recommend sound, practical solutions to project related issues.
- Facilitate internal team communications and meetings.
- Update the schedule status as required, produce reports, and track variances and recommends corrective action.
- Analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates, compare to detailed baseline budgets, work package agreements, and write cost variance reports.
- Lead scope change analysis, develop what-ifs and administer change control to schedule and budgets, ensuring that all changes are documented via the appropriate change control process.
**Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite over 80% of the time.
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, plus five or more years of experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with scheduling best practices, including work breakdown structure development, schedule logic and dependencies, change control and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Experience working with Project management tools; including Primavera P6, Excel, and Milestone Pro.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level Security Clearance and Sigma 15.
Qualifications We Desire
- Knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons complex and product realization process.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience and familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling tool.
- Experience placing, monitoring, and tracking procurements and ICOs on behalf of technical staff.
- Experience and familiarity Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and methodology.
- Ability to effectively team, communicate, and collaborate with technical staff, management, customers, and partners at all levels.
- Experience on the W80-4 or other high rigor ND projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to organize and perform under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
- Willing to take initiative, take ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks.
- Excellent analytical skills, decision analysis skills and facilitation skills.
