ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Coordinator for Sturgeon Electric company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our projects. This multifaceted role involves tasks related to project management, financial administration, procurement, and documentation. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the Project Manager and project team, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating effective communication between various stakeholders. In this role, you will be an essential part of our project management team, helping to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards Sturgeon Electric prides itself on. Your attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities will be critical to our continued success.

Since 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR Group, Inc, has provided comprehensive electrical construction services to clients throughout the western U.S. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full service electrical provider.
Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.
Essential Functions
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Administrative Assistant, and field leadership to maintain organization and efficiency within the team
- Reconciliation of timesheets to work orders and work orders to work order logs
- Maintain accurate work order records, ensuring they align with project needs
- Create and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist in journal entry notifications and financial reporting
- Coordinate material orders as needed, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement
- Assist project professionals in various administrative areas
- Job number generation and set-up of job information
- Generation of submittals and final close out packages
- Record and distribute meeting minutes for project-related meetings
- Union/Apprenticeship needs
- Other duties as assigned
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location.
- Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 -3 years of project coordination or administrative support experience in the electrical construction industry
- Associate degree preferred but not required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to think practically in order to solve office problems and interface effectively with senior project personnel
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Proficiency in tracking and E1 accounting systems
WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $47,00-$65,000 / year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
