The Project Coordinator performs a wide variety of high-level activities required to provide complex, confidential support to the Principal Gifts Office.
Primary responsibilities include anticipating and overseeing impeccable preparation and execution for meetings and presentations, coordination of important meetings and events at the highest level ensuring that the Principal Gifts Advancement team operates in an informed and effective manner. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for responding to inquiries, anticipating leadership needs and proactively solving problems and/or independently handling issues as necessary, managing and writing incoming and outgoing correspondence, and serving as an effective liaison with on- and off-campus contacts while conducting the activities of the office in a professional, organized, and efficient manner. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for researching and interpreting high-level concepts for the development of proposals and presentations. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with colleagues in Principal Gifts, Principal Partnership Office and/or LINK on cultivation and stewardship for principal gifts donors and prospects to further fundraising strategies and goals. The Project Coordinator will handle confidential and sensitive matters with utmost discretion and will use excellent judgment and decision-making to ensure integrity and professionalism.
The Project Coordinator will be highly organized and adept at working in a fast-paced environment to coordinate programs and activities; act as a point of contact to internal and external parties; establish project tasks and timeframe; and liaise with appropriate staff and leadership to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives, and execute the planning, hosting, and delivery of tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
– Significant experience providing executive level management administrative support in an academic or professional office environment
– Solid organizational skills and experience managing projects and activities, including complex meetings and events.
– Experience and proficiency utilizing computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Calendar.
– Experience managing multiple tasks and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
– Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take ownership of the position.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere, demonstrate discretion in working with confidential information and use sound judgment in decision-making.
– Experience that demonstrates professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
– Demonstrated ability to write professional correspondence using correct grammar.
– Considerable knowledge of university organizational structure, policies and procedures.
– Experience with travel arrangement and reimbursement.
– Experience managing a professional office.
– Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases.
– Knowledge of project management software and principles
– Experience working in development or fundraising.
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of related training and or experience.
