This position is located in the Bureau of IT Infrastructure & Operations, Richland County.

Are you the One? We are looking for a Project Coordinator, who will, provide technical documentation, revision, and operational support for the IT Infrastructure & Operations area at SCDHHS.

  • Coordinates IT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) administrative policies and documentation. Works with technical staff and business stakeholders to create deliverables and artifacts that are intended for audiences with various levels of technical knowledge. Involves creating, sharing, revising, and publishing I&O policies and procedures. Create technical documents for IT Infrastructure & Operations functional work resources. Work with various internal and external teams to create information operational documents and artifacts for complying with agency standards and procedures.
  • Manages audit coordination with other Agency departments. Prepare audit reports that identify technical and procedural findings. Develops and monitors compliance with annual budgets; consults with program personnel regarding the availability of funds and the preparation of funding requests. Performs or supervises the performance of activities related to fiscal management. Review of contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs). Comparison of previous pricing to new quotes, management of dollars spent by vendor, type, and expiration dates by Fiscal Year (FY). All quotes to be requested and received and managed centrally. Monitor and plan all expenditures and forecast for future FY spending.
  • Purchase Order Management issue and management of purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure the purchased IT equipment and services or licenses are delivered on time and meet the requirements. Review and compare contracts based on approved state contracts. Ensure compliance with all terms and conditions.
    Provide regular reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance to the leadership team. This may include excel charts, excel logs, and PowerPoints. Write reports based on audit results. Update audit documentations.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in the IT market to inform procurement decisions. Comparing state contracts with SOW’s submitted, identify any gaps missed in SOWs. Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and agency policies. Keeping track of renewal dates and initiating the renewal process in a timely manner to prevent any lapse in licensing. This includes obtaining quotes, necessary approvals, issuing purchase orders, and managing the receipt of new licenses.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to understand their needs and work closely with them to ensure the smooth integration of new systems or hardware. Works with compliance and technical staff for each audit project.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant experience in information technology and project coordination.

  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
