Project Developer
Permitting & Environmental
The Project Developer is responsible for the advancement of project development in utility-scale wind and community-scale PV solar projects within the US. This person will have familiarity with renewable energy technologies and geospatial concepts.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Specific development focus in environmental diligence, mitigation, and local, state, and federal permitting.
- Perform prospecting/scoping activities, including cold calls and meetings.
- Work collaboratively with development team in project management software on projects.
- Participate in industry working groups related to policies and initiatives and maintain awareness of energy market trends.
- Manage subcontractor schedules and critical deliverable review.
- Actively create and execute campaigns to achieve focused development objectives across disciplines.
- Assist development team in preparation of marketing and generation of off-take and M&A proposals.
- Ability to effectively present plans and progress updates to management team and stakeholders
- Work effectively with junior development staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree
- 2+ years of experience developing renewable projects within the US
- Required experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience in Smartsheet or Microsoft Projects is a plus.
- Key areas of experience required for this role include environmental impacts, permitting, interconnection procedures, site control and leasing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), wind and/or solar layout, resource assessment, facility performance modeling and development budgeting.

Base salary range $100-120K

Travel expectation 20-40%
