EDC has a contingent opening for a Project Director II, reporting to the Maternal and Child Health Director within the Early Childhood Portfolio. If awarded, this position will provide project support to the Project Director and assembled team through the role of Associate Director for the Health Resources and Services Administration Institute for Home Visiting Workforce Development and Jackie Walorski Center for Evidence- Based Case Management. This role will also oversee a strand of work to create national partnerships to inform the work of the Institute and Center and to disseminate critical information. The purpose of the Institute is to provide support for home visiting programs to expand, support, and retain a diverse and qualified workforce. The Institute will do so by assessing workforce trends, researching effective workforce support practices, and providing technical assistance on such practices. In addition, this funding opportunity will support, within the Institute, the establishment and operation of the Jackie Walorski Center for Evidence-Based Case Management, which will identify, evaluate, and disseminate evidence-based case management best practices within the home visiting context.
You will:
- build critical partnerships with interested parties, those with lived experience and federal partners to inform and disseminate information from the project
- be responsible for programmatic/technical success as well as for administrative/business/financial viability of the project
- oversee the production and management of resources to meet project or program development implementation objectives
- direct performance, and adherence to schedules, resource requirements, and quality standards for training for project activities, technical and creative production and review processes
- promote equity and opportunity in support of EDC’s commitment to diversity
- build positive client, vendor, and funder relations
- coordinate work of team leaders &/or project staff who may be located in field or remote sites
- be directly involved with program participants or team members, collaborating to achieve project or program objectives
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of training & experience in a related discipline
Skills & Experience:
- 2-4 years of project management experience, including budget responsibility and staff supervision
- Experience providing training and technical assistance at the state or local level in home visiting or early childhood systems
- Experience in workforce development of home visitors or early care and education providers
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for details
- Skilled at bringing research to practice-base resources and written materials
Preferred Education, Skills & Experience:
- 6-9 years related experience working in Maternal and Child health, home visiting

This position offers an anticipated full-time equivalent annual base salary range of approximately $87,000 to $110,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
