Job Description
Targeted Pay Range: $110,000.00 – $135,000.00
Veolia’s comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental and vision insurance. Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.
Sick leave – 40 hours; Observed Holidays – 11 days; Vacation – 15 days.
The Project Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager with the primary responsibilities of providing engineering support on various projects.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
- Contribute to projects related to a building’s electrical infrastructure.
- Design and modified building’s electrical system to withstand extended power outages without disruption to mission critical systems. Modification to existing switchboards, adding UPS, ATS and branch circuit redistribution.
- Evaluate power distribution system and solar integration, including mirco-grids.
- Perform design and submittals reviews.
- Perform thermal infrared inspections on electrical systems.
- Prepare and present training materials and mentor junior-level engineers.
- Provide QC on technical work performed by others within the energy management division.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
- 10 years of experience in design, testing and servicing of electrical power distribution system, experience in healthcare a plus.
- Experience in power generation system, including solar and interconnections.
- Experience in motor control centers
- Experience in electrical protection system
- 2 years’ experience in construction or project management
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar field.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to communicate verbally and through concise memorandum and formal report writing.
- Track record of successful management of high-value client relationships.
Required Certification / Licenses / Training:
- Professional Electrical Engineering License.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- This role requires traveling to job sites roughly 25% of the time.
- Be able to climb up and down ladders.
