Description
DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer provides project support by managing company equipment, personnel and other resources while taking into consideration the project’s allotted budget and schedule. Due to the nature and location of our projects, the Project Engineer will likely be required to travel to various locations for both long-term and short-term assignments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Champion submittal process using thorough understanding of both technical and practical aspects of DEC/SEC scope
- Conceptualize and draft RFI’s and Change Estimates
- Ensure safety protocols are carried out, specifically all reporting and PPE requirements as required by OSHA, company and project site
- Review, filter and disseminate contract documentation issued throughout the project duration
- Manage, maintain, track and input information within the compliance log
- Perform all duties associated with project document tracking, management and distribution, specifically transmittal and delivery log, RFIs, submittals, Change Estimates and Change Orders, ASIs and addendums and meeting minutes
- Communicate contract document changes to the project team
- Required to be on-call as required to support project needs
- Perform budget adjustments and total-to-date adjustments
- Compile/generate Project Reports
- Verify with superintendent project status to compile pay applications, cash flows
- Create and manage punch lists
- Compile and submit monthly payment applications
- Compile monthly cash flow and margin analysis
- Review daily reports and communicate major issues
- Draft subcontracts and manage assigned subcontractors
- Facilitate and participate in Submittal and Constructability reviews (SEC and DEC)
- Drive and operate company and rental vehicles
- Lift up to 30lbs
- Travel to various projects as assigned and as is reasonable
- Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
- Operate tools and machinery as required
- May be required to work outside of normal business hours, as dictated by project needs
- Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
- Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related experience required
- 1-2 Years of related experience preferred
- Strong skills in Microsoft Suite of Software, Microsoft Project, Adobe or Bluebeam, Timberline or similar accounting software
- AutoCAD , Revit preferred
- Construction knowledge preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA-30 certification
