Job Description

We are seeking a personable, analytical, and organized Project Manager to be a critical part of driving project management in a thriving agency. You enjoy solving problems, working effectively with cross-functional teams and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving. You are detail-oriented, adept at time management, and set realistic timelines to ensure tasks are completed on time. Consider yourself the “air traffic controller” of our agency.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and co-develop individual project schedules, timelines, and expectations in collaboration with counterparts on other teams.
  • Ensure that tasks assigned contain all of the necessary information prior to assignment and that resources are well-utilized and that the team delivers high-quality services in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate account/creative/production check-ins to monitor work-in-progress, establish priorities, adjust schedules, and ensure successful project completion.
  • Help establish a system/best practices to help create and track the status of timelines, and tasks and ensure the work is being completed on schedule.
  • Review current and future timelines and job statuses with the head of departments and individuals working on the projects.
  • Reschedule projects based on new or changing priorities.
  • Work with management to determine resource allocation based on current and anticipated workflow.
  • Provide support and assistance to team members as needed in order to help them be successful.
  • Manage the creative team calendar and communicate the team’s needs/wants with other departments.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years experience minimum in project management or equivalent.Proficiency with MS Office and Google Docs.
  • Experience working with medium to large-sized teams in an agency setting, especially with creative teams.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various projects for each department.
  • Experience in successfully leading projects and programs on time, on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

Additional Information

  • Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 – $110,000
  • The Observatory team is primarily working remotely from home, with local staff working from the Culver City office twice a month (every other Thursday). At this time, we have no plans to return to a full-time in-office work schedule.
