Overview

The preferred candidate will have extensive Project Management experience related to gas utility engineering/construction. We are seeking a seasoned individual who is comfortable leading cross-functional teams, setting timelines, maintaining strategic and analytical oversight, strong organizational and communications skills, developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to the appropriate work planning and execution processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work effort between all dependent departments, groups, teams and tasks including both internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute planning, status and ad-hoc meetings as required.
  • Willing to perform many different functions in support of the overall project
  • Be proactive, volunteering to take on tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Author technical documents such as scope of work and project specific workflows
  • Document Management
  • Technologically proficient and able to adapt to new software. Perform various job functions across multiple software platforms.
  • Develops goals and objectives based on project need
  • Works to find professional resolutions for conflicts
  • Seeks expertise, advise, and perspectives from a variety of sources internally and externally
  • Provides consultation to others on how to accomplish goals through other departments, organizational systems, and culture
  • Demonstrates customer focus in all actions and through development of departmental strategy
  • Responsible for complex tasks, where considerable judgement and regularly exercises independent judgement and makes recommendations
  • Plans individual work to accomplish objectives
  • Continuously improves efficiency and performance
  • Prioritize projects, sub-projects, or tasks based on key business drivers
  • Identify project risks
  • Drive towards continuous improvements in performance and ongoing efficiencies
  • Own and deliver comprehensive project documentation
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Understand Company’s business drivers to enable better execution, resolution of issues, and general alignment.
  • Establish relationships with key individuals in Company’s organization.
  • Participate in key project meetings, coordinate activities in conjunction with engineering, procurement, contracts, and project management.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent field
  • PMP or other Program Management certifications is preferred
  • Minimum of 5-15 years of demonstrated project management and/or project engineering experience.
  • Proven aptitude and demonstrated experience for high volume, complex projects and program management.
  • Experience in managing a team/assigning work to team members
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to communicate and make presentations to all levels of an organization including executives

Preferred:

  • Large compressor station engineering/construction experience
  • Pipeline, gas utility facilities experience
  • Familiarity with utility regulatory oversight

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $90,000 – $130,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Hybrid work schedule. Usually 2 days a week in downtown Los Angeles office.
