The Project Manager will be accountable for project management and success in the Retail Services business unit. Lead cross functional teams on key strategic development projects and tactically manage critical business processes. Collaborate with operations team, IT team, and other project managers to drive business objectives. Manage resources and project alignment as it relates to Retail Services projects.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex projects with significant scope and business impact.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to deliver projects and programs that support annual financial plans / objectives of the business, primarily focused on customer, market, and technology innovation.
  • Develop ideas for process improvement for branch operations and determine an effective strategy with projects that directly improve operational excellence.
  • Champion organizational adherence to best practices, and approved process for project governance. Support agile process innovation development and implementation.
  • Own, maintain, and drive improved project performance metrics to ensure delivery of key business objectives.
  • Capture lessons learned, and prioritize improvement of existing standards, processes, documentation, tools, and metrics for project, program, and portfolio management, tracking, and governance.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the organization to effectively and efficiently accomplish the objectives of the role, e.g., engineering, manufacturing, sales, IT, finance, marketing / product management, etc.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Business or Operations required
  • Up to 30% travel
  • Experience managing projects and/or process improvements, operations related preferred
  • Demonstrated solution driven behaviors, adopting best practices and creative problem-solving methods
  • Experience working in two or more functional areas; Operations, Field Service, Project Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and/or Finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong level Microsoft office skills including Excel and MS Teams
  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced, environments while being flexible and able to handle changing scenarios; someone who sees ‘ambiguity’ as an opportunity rather than a hurdle
  • High degree of personal accountability, critical thinking, communication, team leadership, and analytical skills
  • Possess a combination of characteristics, including decisiveness, strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, strategic thinking, strong detail-oriented and results-based working environment
  • Demonstrates effective consulting, negotiating, and persuasive skills to diverse audiences, promoting constructive confrontation and issue resolution

This role is eligible for a fully remote work schedule.

The salary range of $53,900- $100,100 is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
