Position Overview:
The Project Manager willbe responsible for completing Rolling Stock Customer Service projects rangingfrom $25M to $250+M in value and durations from 3-5 years. The position will beonsite in Sacramento, CA with a hybrid work schedule. The ProjectManager will be the key participant during the projects’ execution and isresponsible for various work packages within the main project execution duringphases including proposals, planning, design, procurement, manufacturing,commissioning, and customer acceptance. Duties include directing resources in amatrix structured organization, while meeting goals for customer satisfaction,cost, schedule, and quality. The Project Manager will have communication tointernal and external customers for aspects related to the assigned workingpackages of the project. This position reports to the Program Manager of LightRail refurbishments.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- The planning and execution of all operation goals and tasks established for the project.
- Proactively manage the assigned working packages such as contractual work, document control and participates in design meetings with the customer.
- Leads internal meetings and supervises action items with internal partners for the assigned working packages.
- Leads customer meetings and negotiations for changes in scope, cost and schedule and takes minutes of the meeting with action items.
- Supervise and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks and work that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and partners.
- Effectively communicate and handle work package and sub-project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.
- Coordinates the collaborative work between different Siemens entities to deliver a complete integrated product which fulfills the customer requirements for a contract including both rolling stock and customer services scope.
- Develop and deliver monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal / external customers.
- Identify and resolve issues/conflicts within the project team.
- Support customer sales channel activities
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a combination of education and Siemens relevant work experience will be considered,
- 3+ years of complex project management experience,
- PMP Certification or PM@Siemens certification,
- Excellently demonstrated technical, verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills,
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities in an exciting fast paced environment,
- Some travel will be required,
- Setting you apart from others would be a Bachelor’s in Engineering with experience leading manufacturing projects in capital equipment $110M+ with PMP Certification or PM@Siemens Certification.

The base salary rangein Sacramento, CA is $116,400-$157,200 with an annual incentive target of 10%of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on thebudget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
