What You will Do:
The Project Manager is responsible for the success of installations and upgrades for wired and wireless High-Speed Internet Access for Single Digits, Inc. (SDI) Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) business channels, which include student housing, multi-family, and senior living. Responsible for the overall direction, execution, control, and quality completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
While the Project Manager primarily focuses on the above, the “Project Transition” individual will also be responsible for ensuring that projects are complete and fully transitioned to support. This individual will work with the PSG, engineering, quality assurance and support teams to ensure that all closeout tasks are completed and that the network is ready for full support activities. This individual will also work closely with the client to ensure that any open items are completed or scheduled. Together with the project manager, this individual is responsible for ensuring that all invoices (including final invoices) are sent and paid in a timely manner. They will build and refine processes to ensure that project transitions are smooth and efficient, and they will work across all verticals, particularly focused on larger, more complex projects.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be the customer point of contact for overall project communications and technical inquiries. This includes scope of work review, risk assessment and management, project planning, progress tracking and reporting, management, internal and external customer communications, quality control, and compliance assurance. o Overall management and coordination of customer projects as they transition from implementation to support (for assigned projects).
- Complete planning using independent discretion to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and in the financial best interests of the customer and the company. o For phased installs, ensure that each phase is appropriately transitioned and handled appropriately through support (active install 1, active install 2, etc.).
- Directly manage subcontract resources in the technical execution of a scope of work specific to a customer location, with consultation from assigned internal engineering resources as needed.o Coordinate necessary resources to complete transition work (engineering, customer success, project management, etc.)
- Ensure invoices are sent out in a timely manner and that all efforts are made to accelerate cashflow.
- Develop improved processes to assist with transition.
- Provide executive-level reporting on incidents with KPIs to be established.
Other duties under Project Manager that may apply:
- Visit the customer location regularly to ensure proper kick-off, Quality Assurance (QA), and closing of the project.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to plan highly technical and/or highly visible projects in advance of the final sales contract.
- Partner with Product and Sales teams to deploy Software-as-a-Service (Saas) products on existing and new customer projects as included in customer scope of work.
- Partner with Single Digits Partner team to share QA and feedback on the workmanship provided on your products by our installation partners.
- Maintain forecast data integrity and work with leadership to identify resource conflicts.
- Manage a steady pipeline of ongoing customer projects, balancing concurrent projects at varying stages in the project lifecycle.
- Manage local equipment inventory and provide accurate shipping and receipt information to internal Finance and Accounting teams.
- Ensure projects meet or exceed financial targets.
- Drive high quality project outcomes that are timely, complete, and ensure extreme client satisfaction.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of formal education and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management role, preferably within IT, construction, or MDU deployment, to include complex, structured cabling jobs with interior/exterior.
- 10+ years wireless and network support, architecture and/or design
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).
- Possesses solid knowledge and experience in troubleshooting complex problems in various network manufacturer equipment types.
- Possesses solid knowledge and experience in complex, structured cabling practices that include interior/exterior installations, terminating and testing Cat5/Cat6, coax and fiber optic cabling.
- Fluent understanding of large network implementations, network protocols, network, and network topologies.
- Must demonstrate exceptional ethical/professional code of conduct, judgment, and high degree of integrity.
- Excellent project management skills and demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possesses solid knowledge and experience in network design, implementation, and administration.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/I, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in the office or from home as business needs dictate.
- Requires regular travel via car and airplane. Business needs may dictate occasional changes in travel expectations. Some travel is required (25%).
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing, but occasionally requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Frequent use of computer/keyboard/mouse required.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
