Project Manager- Real Estate

Our roots are in corporate real estate, development, construction, and property/asset management for Siemens. In this role, we take overall responsibility for all project management-related real estate activities up to and including responsibility for planning and overseeing projects within the organization, from the initial ideation to completion. In this role, you will coordinate people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives.

We manage the portfolio, optimize space utilization, oversee the operation of our real estate, including all real-estate-related services, are responsible for letting and sales, and implement all of our construction projects. We always aim to support the company’s strategy and its businesses, thus creating long-term value. Part of these services is available to other companies.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:

  • Develop vital project plans, cost estimates, budgets, work breakdowns, schedules, and project summary descriptions and justifications for department review.
  • Ensure integrated planning and teamwork by internal/external partners or customers to support the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Provide project leadership and coordination, including, but not limited to, project planning with internal departments, functions, and customers through meetings and shared reporting and communications.
  • Prepare and provide written summaries, reports, and project recommendations (routine and time-critical inquiries).
  • Represent owner position, priorities, and interests on multi-agency projects and to various industries, government, interest groups, and regulatory bodies.
  • Give leadership and direction for assigned tasks to meet defined unit goals and schedules and align with the plan, quality, quantity, safety, and performance standards.
  • Guide work activities of project team members to meet established task objectives by following established policies and precedents.
  • Work through standard bidding processes and drive projects through completion.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of projects, including budget, schedule, operational needs, procedures, organization standards, sustainability design, QA/QC requirements, and individual roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with the project sponsor, stakeholders, architect, engineers, contractors, and other project team members to meet the project objectives and resolve issues.
  • Assist in submitting statutory project documentation and approvals related to the project work.
  • Review, understand, and manage procedures for development and changes to contract documents, valuations, drawing submissions, change orders, substitutions, etc.
  • Document the status of projects, all meetings, and correspondence to properly communicate within the project team and develop the project documents.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5-10 Years of Project Management experience, specifically in construction.
  • Proven experience in the commercial real estate industry, showing a progression of asset management roles. Space planning is a plus.
  • Desire to get to know people and develop relationships, optimistic attitude, analytical, thorough, collaborator by nature.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and similar cloud-based tools, a basic understanding of real estate transactions or willingness to learn, strong presentation skills (both written and verbal);
  • Ability to work with a remote team using tools and leaning into relationships.

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CAis $102,525 – $170,875 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the basesalaryThe salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
