Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Engineer to join our Water Management team. This position may report to our Houston, TX or Dallas, TX office.
The Water Management team helps clients achieve business objectives by creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions for resilient natural and built assets, and this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer and project manager to join our team locally with support from one of the best-qualified engineering consulting firms in the country.
This project management-focused role sits within our global business area Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:
- Manage the financial and technical delivery of medium to large multi-disciplinary planning and engineering projects from proposal development through execution.
- Meet client project schedules, budgets, and quality objectives for individual projects within a business line portfolio.
- Collaborate with national leaders, ensuring organizational capacity is in place to deliver on projects in the area market
- Provide planning and design support for an existing and expanding client base in relation to coastal protection, stormwater management, and other resiliency needs
- Coordinate and review design calculations and drawings for multidiscipline engineering teams
- Support the expansion of the resiliency practice and Arcadis brand to new customers
- Engage with strategic stakeholders in the local market
- Represent Arcadis at conferences and other industry-related events
- Travel, as needed, for client meetings, site visits, etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or a related field of study
- 8 years of experience in water resources, civil, structural, or coastal engineering, with a focus on resiliency
- 3 years of project management experience on projects over $500,000 of net revenue
- Current PE license in TX or the ability to obtain a TX PE license within six months of hire date
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge and experience with preparation and/or review of engineering plans to ensure that all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyed
- Prior experience serving as a project manager for complex engineering or multi-disciplinary resiliency projects
- Strong communicator with the ability to multi-task and work with staff located in multiple locations
- Experienced in the coordination of work with engineers of other disciplines
- Experience working for municipal, industrial, state, and/or federal client base in coastal resilience or a related area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management advance training or certification
- 20 years of experience in water resources, civil, structural, or coastal engineering, with a focus on resiliency

The salary range for this position is $97,600 – $183,000
