In this role you will contribute to Starbucks success by transforming and optimizing a portfolio of Payroll offerings and leading cross-functional projects. Through building strong relationships across HR, Technology, and the many cross-functional stakeholders of payroll systems and programs this role will enable transactional efficiencies, automations, and intelligence through process improvement and driving the right technology enhancements.
As a project manager sr, you will…
Project Management
- Drive complex, cross-functional enterprise projects, leading multiple efforts simultaneously across globally distributed teams
- Manage scope, resources, and budget to lead complex program and project efforts to completion
- Autonomously and appropriately apply knowledge, processes, skills, tools and techniques to project activities in order to meet project and program goals
- Have plans in place to achieve established goals and space to adapt to the unexpected
- Decide and acts without having the total picture by thoughtfully balancing risk and uncertainty
- Develop and nurture a cohesive team committed to working together and completing the project to the best of their ability
- Collaborate with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables
- Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles
We’d love to hear from people with:
- 5+ years of project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources, and communications
- 5 years managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-size projects
- 5 years building and mentoring teams
- 2 years mentoring other project managers in program and project management
- 5 years general business experience in large, matrixed organizations
- Education – 4 year degree preferred, PMP considered
