Project Manager – Store/Warehouse Design and Merchandising

Job Summary:

Project Manager – Store/Warehouse Design and Merchandising will focus on supporting all aspects of the design of our Trane Residential and Supply field distribution points and the overall space utilization within each of those facilities. This position will include working directly with the Trane Footprint Operations Excellence Team, Parts Leaders from our Trane Company-Owned, Franchise, and Independent Wholesale Distributor locations, as well as various outside vendors.

This position has been designated as Remote and work can be performed out of one of the following locations: LaCrosse, WI; Davidson, NC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO; St. Louis, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Using AutoCAD or similar software, layout and design retail and warehouse space for Trane store and warehouse facilities.
  • Assist with the development of merchandising plan-o-grams for targeted products.
  • Manage small but possibly complex projects or a phase of a large project to ensure the completion of milestones within budget.
  • Place & follow-up on showroom fixture & component orders with vendors.
  • Obtain & communicate vendor estimated ship dates and update appropriate schedules.
  • Coordinate job billing in a timely manner to ensure current A/R status.
  • Allocates resources and assigns tasks to ensure objectives are met.
  • Tracks performance and progress of project against projected timeline.
  • Resolves unique problems that could occur during the project to minimize delays.
  • Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of each project.
  • Travel: 10%

Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Business, Marketing or related technical field or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Retail / Merchandising Experience a Plus

  • Ability to collaborate closely with multiple functional teams across the enterprise.
  • Strong Interpersonal & Organizational Skills Required
  • Strong AutoCAD, MS Office & Windows Program skills required
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of setting & meeting goals / deadlines.
  • Must be a positive thinker with enthusiastic attitude to expand position responsibility

Base Pay Range: $70,000 and up based on experience
