Project Manager – Texas/Oklahoma

An innovative utilities services company in the water industry is on the lookout for an outgoing Project Manager to join their team in the Dallas, TX area! As a Project Manager, you will serve as the vital link between clients, water operations, and the technology team, overseeing the successful execution of projects and technology solutions across the Texas and Oklahoma market. This is an amazing opportunity for a seasoned project manager who thrives in the dynamic interplay of managing multiple projects while balancing desk time with heavy travel requirements.

The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and at least 5 years of experience in utilities, with a background in the water or wastewater industry. Pay Range: $80,000 – $120,000 DOE
Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between customers, water operations, and the technology team
  • Manage substantial projects with 1-2 crews per project
  • Oversee 8-10 concurrent projects, maintaining a balanced workload
  • Travel extensively, spending 3-4 days a week in various locations
  • Maintain financial acumen, managing project financials, and focusing on labor costs
  • Lead weekly meetings with field and data teams, providing financial project updates
  • Collaborate with clients, customers, and staff, building strong relationships
  • Balance between fieldwork and desk time
  • Ensure project launches and technology solutions are successful

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in utilities
  • Background in the water or wastewater industry
  • Experience managing multiple multi-site projects concurrently
  • Strong financial acumen with P&L management expertise
  • Ability to travel extensively within Texas and Oklahoma
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • High interpersonal skills and a relationship-driven approach
  • Ability to manage and develop a team
