DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This exciting opportunity is an executive level position that affords the chance to establish portfolio guidelines within the Bureau of Information Technology Project Management. You will also serve as the main contact for Enterprise Portfolios. This position provides a rewarding experience by forming meaningful and lasting relationships across the commonwealth team and suppliers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Hours of work are negotiable within the office’s business hours.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Ten years of professional information technology experience; or
  • Six years of professional information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment:

  • ITIL Foundations Certification is necessary upon hire or obtained within a period of time after hire.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have four years of project management experience.
  • Must have two years of portfolio management experience using a well-known portfolio tool.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Portfolio management certification.
  • Program management certification.
  • Project management certification.
  • Experience conducting formal presentations to large business and/or technical groups at various levels within the organization.
