Description
Professional and/or technical position responsible for enforcement of the Property Maintenance Codes.
Starting pay $25.1023/hr.
Examples of Duties
Primary essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Inspects properties;
- Investigates and issues notices and citations for noncompliance with the BOCA International Property Maintenance Code and City of Owensboro Nuisance Ordinances;
- Maintains records of all business activities relating to Property Maintenance;
- Interacts with members of public in execution of duties;
- Attends and participates in hearings related to enforcement activities.
Typical Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (Required at time of application):
- Associates Degree in Construction Technologies or related field
- OR 3 yrs. experience in property and/or building inspection or maintenance, public relations, or law enforcement.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Building Inspector and/or Property Maintenance Inspector Certification desired, but not required.
Equivalent amount of education and/or work experience is acceptable.
