HMS is hiring Provider Field Rep will handle complex enrollment applications and responses to the client or providers.
Your role in our mission
- Under minimal supervision, performs routine to complex tasks that are related to various provider claims and policies.
- Provides training to the provider community and acts as liaison with our internal departments and the customer to implement programs that are necessary for the Medicaid program.
- Performs outreach to providers and the provider community.
- Applies knowledge of established policies and procedures to resolve provider issues and to work with the customer to ensure compliance.
- Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to define appropriate actions.
- Escalates areas of concern to leadership/the client as defined by procedures.
- Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
- Works with the customer and the provider community to grow participation in the program.
What we’re looking for
- Two or more years of credentialing experience, medical billing experience, or healthcare experience.
- Demonstrated professionalism in communications with providers and customers.
- Ability to effectively work independently to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work under aggressive time constraints. Ability to work with details and follow directions.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to use multiple window-based screens to perform work. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to be well organized and work under high production standards. Ability to track and follow up on assignments and enrollment applications.

The pay range for this position is $48,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
