The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Psychologist Assistant. The Department of Neurology’s Division of Neuropsychology seeks to hire a Psychologist Assistant. The position will work closely with Neuropsychology faculty to administer and score neuropsychological assessments for clinic patients as well as participate in pre-surgical evaluation for neurosurgery candidates.
Key Duties, Primary Responsibilities:
• Under general supervision, administers, scores and compiles results of psychological tests
• Maintains research and clinical databases
• Provides training
• Assists with general office duties including scheduling, sending correspondence and preparing charts
• Provides information and community education and prepares informational materials as needed
• Responds to the unique needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients as the need arises
• Acts in a caring and courteous manner towards all patients, guests, visitors, students and staff
Hourly Pay Range – $15.00 – $26.80
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or a related field required
• Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
