Employee Experience Global Communications Lead

Responsibilities:

The Employee Experience Global Communications Lead will:

  • Develop and drive content strategy focused on the moments that matter for every employee, at every stage, drawing in key programs, benefits and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to communicate to (and engage with) employees worldwide
  • Write articles, posts and messaging that entice and inform employees, including through new possible distribution channels in partnership with key stakeholder divisions
  • Lead oversight, maintenance and consistent refinement of the My Experience intranet and templates, from compiling small weekly edits to proposing longer-term enhancements, based on data and employee feedback
  • Work closely with Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Marketing to ensure connectivity and consistency with larger themes, messaging and campaigns
  • Propose and lead new communications processes, prioritizing clarity and efficiency
  • Consistently gauge employee sentiment across regions, including through in-person conversations, surveys and existing focus group feedback
  • Oversee the editorial calendar, in coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure consistency and quality of My Experience branding
  • Bridge various employee-focused functions (e.g., HR, Tech, Corporate Services), helping distill the clearest possible messaging for employees.
  • Lead meetings and drive collaboration with colleagues at all levels

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled leader in communications and/or marketing, with emphasis on project governance. Comfort with ambiguity in a start-up-like environment is essential. This position is suited for an experienced professional who embraces fun, strategic thinking and tactical oversight alike – all centered on helping improve the employee experience.

Specifically, the candidate will bring:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a communication and/or marketing role at a matrixed global organization, ideally outstanding writing/editing skills and editorial instincts, including the ability to distill and reframe complex information
  • A client-focused mindset balanced with a sense of humor
  • A strong point of view about communications, marketing and branding – and an ability to express those sentiments constructively and collaboratively
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and provide structure
  • An exceptionally collegial spirit as part of a close team, including willingness to assist with occasional administrative needs
  • Composure and clear thinking, especially when under deadline
  • A desire for new challenges (and ideas on how to solve them)
  • Experience using a CMS to manage real-time content

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
