Summary
Responsible for assisting with the administration of policies and procedures of campus law enforcement in a multi-campus environment. Must possess diplomacy and discretion skills at a professional level. Reports to the director of public safety.
Salary is restricted to above range and will not exceed the maximum of the range. Salary offers are non negotiable and offers are determined and are based upon related work experience submitted on resume.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as first point-of-contact for the Department in the answering of phone calls, emails, and in-person visitors. Disseminates information to the appropriate personnel within the department for all inquiries and emergencies.
- Responsible for all departmental purchasing including obtaining quotes, ordering, and creating requisitions.
- Maintain the Navigate program and departmental website, as directed by supervisor.
- Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the security system, employee photo ID card machine, and processes photo ID’s, parking hangtags, and locker requests. Works closely with the Office of Human Resources in issuing and terminating employee ID cards.
- Monitor cameras.
- Conduct follow-up on investigations as directed.
- Complete sTART reports for incidents/follow-ups as directed.
- Maintains/updates call lists for alarm notifications and contacts for alarm company.
- Maintain lost and found inventory.
- Maintain parking/citation database.
- Maintain preventative maintenance records.
- Produce daily room assignment reports for officers.
- Maintain/update Public Safety chatbot information for website.
- Attend the emergency response team and critical incident team committee meetings, takes minutes, and maintains the critical incident team folder and all pertinent documentation.
- Maintain uniforms and equipment.
- Prepare department reports and filing as needed.
- Assist with statistical data for Clery ASR and online reporting to Department of Education and any other reports as needed.
- Assist with building evacuations, drills, weather emergencies, and in-service employee trainings.
- Maintain operations manual for this position.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required:
Education
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Foreign degrees – must provide a US equivalency report of your degree credentials with your transcript, if not, your resume will not be accepted.
Clearances
- Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting), Driver Vehicle Clearance Report.
Work Experience
- Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of general safety and fire safety procedures.
- Works with confidential information, diplomacy and discretion skills at a professional level a must.
- Ability to work and think independently.
- Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Related experience in a security type environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
