PTPM, Software Integration, Kuiper Operations Program Management

As Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will play a key role in driving the design, development, and adoption of Kuiper’s enterprise business systems. Our team integrates Enterprise Resource Planning, Manufacturing Execution, Supplier Collaboration, Warehouse Management, and other applications with Kuiper’s rapidly evolving business. You will have significant influence, both with technical teams and business stakeholders. We’re looking for an individual experienced in managing cross-functional technical programs with large impact. You have a track record or planning and delivering complex programs with a multi-year roadmap using Agile methods.

  • Own the roadmap for end-to-end strategy and deployment of enterprise software systems for seamless operation of Kuiper’s business.
  • Provide strategic management of large, complex, and time critical programs.
  • Build links between technical, business, and operations teams, and third-party vendors to deliver systems, data pipelines, and software necessary for Kuiper’s back-end operations.
  • Develop and manage technical requirements and interfaces that tie to business requirements.
  • Understand dependencies between project roadmaps, synchronize milestones, identify constraints, and dive deep where necessary to unblock and deliver results.
  • Create new tools and business processes that simplify, standardize, and enable operational excellence across Kuiper Enterprise Technology.

Key job responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work with teams developing other systems as well as assembly, integration and tests.
  • Develop and manage technical requirements and interfaces that tie to system level requirements.
  • Drive the creation, documentation, and adoption of scalable, standardized, and highly visible processes across all supply chain, manufacturing and launch functions.
  • Drive executive communication cadence and deliver artifacts that provide insight into the activities, accomplishments, challenges, and risks of operations.
  • Establish and own reporting mechanisms, business strategy documents, operating rhythms
  • Define, measure, analyze, improve, and control metrics across all aspects of the operation.
  • Provide feedback/escalate systemic concerns to tech teams regarding approaches that are cost-inefficient or detrimental to scaling.
  • Create new tools and business processes that simplify, standardize and enable operational excellence across the entire production value stream.

To deliver these complex solutions, you will partner with peers across Kuiper, including supply chain, manufacturing, launch, facilities, finance, compliance, hardware, software, and human resources. Your previous experience with software development, web services architectures, and enterprise systems integration will support the team’s success. You are highly collaborative, building partnerships with cross-functional leaders to drive positive results. Your strong backbone and advocacy on behalf of customers (internal and external), and ability to push back without being adversarial builds trust across the organization.

Export Control Requirement:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with owning a roadmap for end-to-end strategy and deployment of enterprise software systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
