About Zehnder:
We’re one of the largest full-service advertising agencies in the Southeast, with offices in Baton Rouge, Nashville, New Orleans and Baton Rouge. After being in business for more than 27 years, we know a thing or two about marketing. Our agency is comprised of seven individual departments – account services, creative, digital, media, project management, public relations, and social media — and we integrate these different skillsets to create amazing, multifaceted campaigns for our clients.
Overview:
Support Zehnder’s Public Relations Department by assisting with day-to-day projects for clients and handling organizational and general administrative office tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work on top platforms like Cision, Klear and TV Eyes
Monitor media daily, track client and competitor press coverage
Secure press clips for clients and maintain client clip reports
Assist with annual planning, which includes updating editorial calendar and media research
Assist with the planning and execution of special events and press conferences
Develop and update media lists
Assist with the development and distribution of press releases
Assist with developing pitches and pitching stories to media locally, regionally and nationally
Monitor media outlets and HARO queries for potential media opportunities
Assist with various research and client writing projects as needed
Maintain client website content and social media channels as client needs dictate
Handle administrative needs as they arise, including ordering supplies
Run errands as needed
Performance Standards & Skills:
Client satisfaction ratings are high. No misunderstandings or problems exist between agency and client
Time sheets are completed daily
Work is on target, on time and within budget
Client and agency management express confidence in his/her service, initiative and follow-through
Displays good attitude in the workplace
Demonstrates the ability to learn new methods and business tools used by the agency
Works well with team members
Written work is grammatically correct and free of errors
Demonstrates the ability to manage time, prioritize projects and follow up with supervisor and client on status of projects
Responsive and prompt in providing updates and feedback

Scheduling:
• Minimum five days weekly; two hours each day
• Minimum of two semesters remaining
