Seeking a motivated, dynamic, and high energy sales executive targeting a changing and transforming utility industry. The Public Sector Utilities Account Manager will act as a resource for all things utility sales, delivering innovative solutions to investor owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities. Responsible for uncovering, and assisting in closing sophisticated, coordinated solutions which enable clients to meet their business objectives. Expand sales opportunities through strategic networking, facilitating negotiations, and closing sales. Earn trust and provide value to utility vertical customers by understating their business and requirements.

Section 2
- Prepare/maintain sales forecasts and forecast pipeline, account status reports, and make recommendations to enhance account growth
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets
- Uncover opportunities in the private cellular network space
- Seek out smart city technology and opportunities within the utility space like smart metering, smart lighting, etc.
- Identify potential business opportunities and partnerships related to private cellular networks
- Develop and provide expertise for all offerings, products, and services applicable
- Identify and qualify opportunities and strategically engage internal and external support partners to position business solutions that will add value within the utility space
- Lead discussions for renewals and participate in contract discussions for new products and services, all with a focus on profitable sales
- Handle the contract lifecycle, resolve contract disputes, and answer basic and sophisticated capabilities questions.
- Articulate client business value with consultative selling approaches, through proposals and oral presentations.
- Build a strong network within the communities we serve to enhance UScellular’s brand and identify new business customer prospects.

Salary Range $59000 – $96501 / yearly

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of successful B2B sales experience;
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding quotas
- Metrics-driven sales “hunter” with a professional demeanor, outstanding integrity, and high sense of urgency
- Metrics-driven sales executive with a proven track record of new account sales success
- Experience in sales account management practices – retaining and growing existing customer base
- Proven experience in successful complex, solution-oriented sales
- Ability to operate independently to build a successful sales pipeline/channel, but also collaborate with and engage colleagues and vendors when appropriate
- Experience with customer business case development based on TCO/Return on Investment techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and balance contending demands and priorities
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel 50-70%
