Purchasing Admin Agent

We are looking for another dedicated person to join us. We have an immediate opening for a full time Purchasing Administration Agent. If you have a passion for excellence and would like to join a stable and growing company then we’d like to talk to you.

The Purchasing Administration Agent is responsible for developing cost savings strategies, consolidating suppliers to leverage spend, initiate sourcing activities and assist with various administrative needs for the Distributed Purchasing team. Will also assist with needs for Raw Material Purchasing as needed.

Other essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and implements purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Manages supplier relations and negotiates contracts, prices, timelines, onboarding suppliers, etc.
  • Supports the identification and qualification of new suppliers for new product sourcing for a variety of critical commodities.
  • Maintains purchase records, pricing and related documentation.
  • Ensures that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Prepares cost estimates and manages budgets.
  • Works closely with legal counsel to ensure contract terms are favorable to Hardy Diagnostics.
  • Works with various logistics carriers to obtain favorable pricing for transportation of product.
  • Negotiates contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing/supply chain management
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Ability to execute tasks independently
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and regulatory documentation
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Auto CAD, ERP suites
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified preferred
