QA Analyst III
Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to establish a job function with the ability to test software using test automation tools. This position will address strategic areas concerning software testing automation to enable the teams to produce functioning software with more speed, with more efficiency and a higher level of quality while decreasing the cost of software development. The skillset to create automation is specialized, learned, and practiced skillset with separate duties and responsibilities.
The employee will create, contribute to, and maintain an existing automation framework by writing UI and API level automated tests, defining the testing strategy/approach for their Scrum team, and acting as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ in areas of quality.
Major responsibilities are below:
• 10% Create test cases based on Stories / Requirements.
• 10% Execute test cases as part of Sprint/Release testing.
• 50% Automate test cases using best practices.
• 10% Execute automated test cases as part of Sprint/Release testing
• 10% Define testing strategy/approach for Product Teams for each Sprint/Release.
• 10% Document process, designs, test results, and analysis.
Job-specific knowledge or skills required:
• Educational Background/Type of degree – Bachelor
• Years of prior work-related experience in addition to a degree: 3 Years QA Experience
• 2 to 5 Years Experience Using Automating Testing Software
• 3 Years Test Case Development and Execution
• 2 Years Working in an Agile Methodology
• 2 Years Utilizing Continuous Integration Tools – Jenkins
Desired Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Experience in using Jira.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile Methodology.
• Experience in UI Automation
• Experience in Webservice/API testing
